Representatives of Microsoft products resellers yesterday attended a briefing on the latest Microsoft product, the Windows 7, to gain knowledge on its functions.
Facilitating the briefing was Training Solutions Manager of Tech One Global, Akfash Latibu, who provided the representatives with information on Windows 7, which was officially launched worldwide yesterday.
Tech One Global General Manager Arjuna Ranasinghe in a brief interview said that being the only authorised/licensed distributor in the Brunei market, the company usually conducts briefing or presentations such as this to their resellers to enable them to know more about the product, particularly on updates of new development in Microsoft technology, software and so forth.
Besides such briefing as the one carried out yesterday at the Orchid Garden Hotel in Berakas, the company also provides certification training open to the general public such as the Microsoft Certified System Engineering and Microsoft Certified Professionals where participants are trained and will have to undergo online exams to receive the certification that is recognised worldwide.
The new Windows 7 simplifies everyday tasks as it introduces improved taskbar previews, bigger icons, pinning and creative ways to personalise, so that it is easier to share files and printers, speedy access to pictures, songs, websites and documents and a quick and fun new way to resize and compare windows on desktop.
It is also designed to sleep and resume quicker, be less memory hungry and spot USB devices faster and the Windows 7 makes the most powerful 64-bit PCs, the new desktop standard and new power-saving features designed to help laptops run longer.
